“Baklava” follows Merjem, a stubborn Bosnian Muslim girl who tells the truth to her conservative parents about her boyfriend, a Bosnian Serb. Then, she embarks on a journey to address her family’s wartime trauma by challenging their prejudice and helping them confront the past.
